Meet the leaders who've helped build Healthline into the fastest growing consumer health information site. The team's deep expertise in media, marketing, product management, engineering, and editorial fuels innovation across the organization.
David leads the Healthline Media team. His 25 year career spans publishing, digital advertising, consumer services, and clientside marketing for both big brands (Disney and Yahoo!) as well as more entrepreneurial ventures. David believes that people need better tools, education, and support in order to achieve good health, and he’s confident that Healthline’s purpose-driven team will make the world stronger and healthier. He also talks a lot about sugar: if you want to live a long, healthy life, minimize your sugar intake.
SVP of Sales
Dante has been with Healthline for over 7 years and has led our sales team since 2012. Dante has a long-running passion for Healthcare marketing, having led sales efforts for the pharmaceutical and other health-related verticals at The New York Times and the Meredith Corporation. His other passions include cooking, staying healthy and a new found love of surfing. Dante and his wife, Heather, are raising 4 children in Connecticut.
SVP Product & Marketing
Tracy leads consumer marketing and manages a team that oversees SEO, SEM, SMM, email marketing, and first party initiatives. Prior to Healthline, Tracy owned a digital marketing company and served in the Peace Corps. Outside of Healthline, Tracy loves reading the New Yorker, hiking, exploring Oakland, and traveling. She’s traveled to over 30 different countries and lived overseas for 3+ years.
SVP of Finance
Cheryl leads the finance team. Her 25-year career has primarily been spent in the healthcare space, encompassing providers, payers, and technology. Cheryl brings to Healthline a passion to drive improvement and consistently challenge the status quo. She loves spending time with her husband and three grown sons.
SVP Content & Design
Tracy leads the content strategy and oversees a brilliant team of editors, writers, medical experts, and producers with one goal in mind: to create awesome content that helps people get healthier. Prior to Healthline, Tracy led the BBC Gardening website in London for three years where she mastered (proper) English and indulged in her love of British gardens. Tracy can often be found hiking her local trails or enjoying a homemade smoothie with her husband and girls in the garden.
SVP of Technology
Andy is responsible for leading the technology development and innovation efforts for Healthline. Andy bring over 20 years of experience with technical operations, software engineering, and product development for companies across a variety of industries. Prior to joining the Healthline, Andy led engineering for several divisions/acquisitions for the Monster.com team. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Math from UNC - Chapel Hill. His hobbies include volleyball, biking, and enjoying the Marin outdoors with his two boys, Drew and James!
SVP of Corporate Development
Jake leads corporate and business development for Healthline. He has spent 17 years in Digital Health, including digital advertising, physician CME, point-of-care, population health management, and hospital patient education TV programs. He enjoys driving our long-term strategic roadmap and looking to partner with companies in pursuit of our mission. Outside of work, Jake’s wife and three kids keep him busy with baseball tournaments, coaching basketball, and chasing the dogs around.
SVP of Data and Yield
Andy is responsible for yield management at Healthline as well as data strategy. Andy created the yield management discipline at Yahoo in the early 2000s and then was co-founder and COO of Brand.net before joining programmatic ad leader AppNexus as an SVP GM of their automated guaranteed offering in 2012. Andy starts 10/30.
Healthline's medical reviewers ensure that our content is accurate, current, and user-focused. Along with extensive experience in a variety of medical specialties, they bring added perspective due to their backgrounds in clinical practice, research, and patient advocacy.
Jeanne Morrison, PhD., MSN, RN, has more than 25 years of clinical and teaching experience in a wide variety of educational and healthcare settings. Her clinical expertise is in critical care, nephrology, and orthopedics. She has presented at local, national, and international healthcare conferences. In her free time, Jeanne is an avid equestrian and shows and competes nationally.
Kait Fortunato, RD, LD, specializes in eating disorders, weight management, intuitive eating, and the non-diet approach. Kait was named the Outstanding Young Registered Dietitian of the Year in 2013 by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Practice. She is passionate about helping clients find ways to fit in their favorite foods and end feelings of food guilt.
Dr. Morrison is an orthopaedic surgeon. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His interests are in total joint reconstruction and trauma. In his free time he enjoys playing tennis.
Andrea Ho, PharmD, MS, has provided nutrition education and research in underserved neighborhoods and conducted healthy living group classes. She’s dedicated to helping patients understand how to better manage their disease states not only with medication, but also by incorporating better nutrition into their lifestyle. She has a passion for creativity and has a blog on instructional creative design.
Alan Carter, PharmD, has over 30 years of clinical, industrial, and academic experience in pharmacy practice and medication therapy management. Dr. Carter has published medical articles, serves on many professional committees and boards, and performs peer review for several medical journals. He enjoys gardening, hiking, and other outdoor activities to provide a healthy work-life balance.
Monica Bien, PA-C, works in the oncology department at San Francisco General Hospital. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Samuel Merritt College in 2003. She also serves as the Cancer Committee’s community outreach coordinator. She has a strong mindfulness and meditation practice. She also enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, or hiking in the redwoods.
Dr. Carteron, FACR, specializes in autoimmunity. She is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She is a UCSF clinical faculty member. She is cofounder of HealthWell Foundation, Medical & Scientific Advisory Board chair, and editor of the Sjogren’s Quarterly. She enjoys time in Napa Valley with her family and serving as a catechist.
Rebecca is an award-winning registered dietitian who is both a seasoned nutrition counselor and successful business owner with over 20 years experience. She earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Maryland and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She loves to hike, use her standup paddleboard, and enjoy all life has to offer.
Nicole Galan, RN, specializes in women's health and infertility issues. She completed the reproductive endocrinology and infertility nurse certification by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Nicole’s book, “The Everything Fertility Book,” was published in 2011. She runs Tiny Toes Consulting, providing personalized support to couples in all stages of their infertility treatment.

Deborah Weatherspoon, PhD., MSN, RN, CRNA, is an advance practice nurse with more than 30 years of clinical experience. She is the author of multiple publications and presents nationally and internationally on a variety of medical and leadership issues. Deborah enjoys walking, reading, traveling to new locations, and spending time with her family.

Stacey Boudreaux, PharmD, is a consultant pharmacist with over 18 years of specialized experience in clinical informatics and drug information. She earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from Idaho State University and completed a residency at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and loves boating, fishing, camping, tennis, golf, and skiing.
Sue has practiced in pharmacy and physicians’ offices for over 25 years. She has written for patients and professionals for more than a decade. Sue has a B.S. in pharmacy from Oregon State, an MBA from George Fox University, and a certificate in Clinical Informatics from OHSU’s School of Medicine. She enjoys hiking, swimming, golf, gardening, and tackling home improvement projects in her spare time.
Authority Nutrition is an evidence-based nutrition website that was acquired by Healthline in 2017. The daily articles on Authority Nutrition are based on scientific evidence and written by experts. The team of licensed nutritionists and dietitians strive to be objective and present both sides of the argument.
PhD in nutrition from the University of Iceland and BSc in biology. Has considerable research experience but also enjoys writing nutrition articles for the general readership. Keeps fit by hiking in the Icelandic wilderness and pursues nature photography in his pastime, while transforming into a bedroom musician when the weather is bad.
Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane is a registered dietitian currently working in research.She is the founder of 'Yummy Tummies', a weight management program for pregnant women, and nutrition lead at 'BreakFit', a health and fitness service for the 40+. Mary Jane studied in North Ireland and in the USA to complete a BSc in Human Nutrition from Ulster University. She then went on to complete her PhD focusing on diet, exercise and weight management in pregnancy, and more recently completed a postgraduate diploma in dietetics. She enjoys walks on the beautiful north coast of Ireland and is passionate about providing evidence-based nutrition advice for the general public.
Franziska Spritzler has a BSc in nutrition and dietetics. She is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with expertise in carbohydrate-restricted diets for diabetes and weight management. She enjoys a vibrant lifestyle that includes healthy foods, walking on the beach, and performing a combination of resistance, cardio, and flexibility exercises to stay fit.
Joe studied for over five years in both Australia and Finland, and in 2011 graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics. Although “based” in Sydney Australia, he travels most months of the year. To keep healthy on the road, he performs body-weight exercises and always makes time to cook.

Alina is a registered dietitian with an expertise in sport nutrition. She completed her nutrition undergrad in Canada, received her Master’s degree in the U.K. and currently calls the Netherlands home. In her free time, Alina loves exploring new corners of the world, especially if they include a good wave to surf or a nice slope to descend. Alina loves wholesome foods, working up a sweat, and taking care of our planet.
Helen has a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. She has extensive experience as a gastro-specialist Dietitian in the UK’s National Health Service and is passionate about evidence-based nutrition. She recently returned to the UK to start a family, after a 3 year sabbatical in Bali, Indonesia. Her favorite ways to stay active are running, surfing and yoga.
Adda has a BSc and a Master's degree in human nutrition from the University of Iceland. She stays fit by enjoying time with her family and two sons, eating healthy and by going to the gym doing cardio and lifting weights, with the occasional crossfit exercise.
Matt is a nutritional scientist and physician who completed a combined MD and PhD program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has published clinical trials and epidemiological studies on the effects of high protein diets on weight loss and body fat, muscle mass and bone density. He loves statistics (nerdy, right?) and believes a lot of nutrition myths can be debunked by looking closely at the data. He currently lives in North Carolina with his wife April and son Taylor. He keeps active by trying to keep up with Taylor and their dog, Oliver Wendell Holmes.
Arlene is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Sports Nutritionist by The International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN). She completed an MSc in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University and a BSc in Food and Nutrition from The University of Alabama. Arlene has worked in supplement development, sports nutrition and is currently working in clinical nutrition counseling for a rehabilitation hospital. She is a 3-time Olympic swimmer and loves running and paddle boarding. With her expertise in the world of sports, she has been able to apply her knowledge of nutrition to help athletes improve performance and achieve their goals in different sports.
Rudy Mawer is a certified sports nutritionist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN). He has a first class bachelor's degree in Exercise, Nutrition and Health and a Master's degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science. Rudy has worked as a sports nutritionist and trainer for 7 years, and has helped hundreds of people transform their physiques. He has worked with many professional athletes and teams, including the NBA, professional bodybuilders, world triathlon gold medalists and Hollywood celebrities. Rudy bridges the gap between science and real-world application. He applies the latest research into his writing and consulting practices.
Kris is a nutrition researcher with a Bachelor's degree in medicine. He has spent years reading books, blogs and scientific studies on nutrition. Evidence-based nutrition is his passion and he plans to devote his career to informing people about it. He stays fit by lifting weights, taking walks and eating real food.
Rachael Link is a registered dietitian currently working with veterans in New York City.Rachael completed her undergraduate degree in Missouri and received her Master's degree from New York University. She is passionate about plant-based nutrition and achieving better health by balancing her time between the kitchen and the gym.

Ryan has a Masters degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Auckland. He is a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about the role of antioxidants in health and has published studies on how they may affect several eye diseases. Ryan loves to explore different corners of the world and try unique foods from many different cultures. In his spare time he loves to design fun and healthy recipes.
Ruairi works in research and has a keen interest in food and health. He has a BSc in Human Nutrition and a PhD in Nutrition and Microbiology. Ruairi is fascinated in studying the science of how food affects our bodies in both health and disease. He is passionate about getting people excited about science and communicating real scientific evidence about food and nutrition. Outside of science, Ruairi loves food and travel.
Grant Tinsley is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Physiology at Texas Tech University, where he teaches sports nutrition courses and conducts research. His research examines how nutrition, exercise and dietary supplements affect human body composition and exercise performance. Grant earned B.S. degrees in Physiology and Nutritional Sciences, a M.S. degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and Exercise Nutrition. He is a Certified Sports Nutritionist through the International Society of Sports Nutrition (CISSN) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He enjoys lifting weights, reading and writing.

“I started to give a damn about other people.” That’s what Josh Robbins says changed after he learned he was HIV-positive. Josh, an HIV activist, says he discovered that encouragement is the best way to turn someone recently diagnosed from a statistic into an advocate.
But Doctor I Hate Pink
Ann Silberman was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2009. Later, she learned she had stage 4, but a new drug sent her cancer into remission. Sadly, Ann has since learned she has active cancer once again. Even though her remission period is over, Ann is still here in a big way.
Caregiving Is Not for Sissies
Pat White should know. She was caregiver to her mother who lived with Alzheimer’s for about five years. Her father also suffered from dementia. And now, Pat is caring for her husband, a former Ph.D. physicist whose health has been compromised by multiple strokes.
Their Stars Aligned and Sparks Flew
It must have been destiny that brought Jennifer and Dan Digmann together at an MS conference called “Finding Your Buried Treasure.” The dynamic soul mates say they’re just a normal married couple who both happen to have MS.
